alllllrightio, so it's been a while
it's nice to see you, you guys. however
it's come to my attention that I've pissed
quite a few people off with my Severus Snape
chapter (my Twitter is also riddled
with some pissed off Snape apologists oop) so I
figured why not piss more people off
with the reasons why Dumbledore is
also a grey character for me.

TO START OFF, let's see all the good things Dumbledore has done
— one of the most important ones that we can lay out is the events with Grindelwald
— he was the one who took down Grindelwald in the final duel
— he was an amazing professor that taught students tremendously
— he handled and created the Order of the Phoenix in times if need
— he gave Remus Lupin a job despite him being a werewolf

however I can't think of any more good things and I don't feel like going through the books so I'll let y'all comment here if you're inclined!

BUT LETS END WITH THE BAD,
— Grindelwald would not have had all the power he did without the aide of Albus and his siblings
— Albus helped to lead Gellert to finding the elder wand, which ultimately fueled Gellerts strive for power
— Albus was also a cause in the death of his own sister, had he been dueling Gellert and between the two, sparks were flying and Ariana was caught in the crossfire
— however he still continued on, saw darkness inside of tom riddle but didn't think anything of it
— and then the order era
— he knew good and well of the prophecy and he was the one who let Snape know of it (who then went to tell Voldy about it)
— he used Snapes obsession with Lily as a way to keep him on his side, promising safety but never intending on giving it
— Harry was a child and Dumbledore knew what type of environment the Dursley's were going to be for him, but still left him there with them instead of taking him and placing him in the hands of a capable wizard (I know, I know, the whole protection thing bc of petunia being Lily's sister plays a part but like Dumbledore could've kept the kid safe smh)
— He kept Harry in the dark so many times, especially about the whole Order being restablished and all, doesn't seem right to me
— Also on the topic of Sirius for a moment, I'm like 99.99% sure Dumbledore knew our man was innocent and didn't do anything, but that was never made canon so I am unsure about that
— ANYWAYS back to Harry, bc honestly that's where we get to see many problems and all with Dumbledore
— at somepoint Harry no longer becomes a person but someone who could continue on what had to be done once he died, to destroy all of the horcruxs
— he just leaves out one crucial thing, what they're like and that he's one of them

So anyways, I say Dumbledore
is a gray character bc there are
good things he does in the series
but also in many ways there are
things that I cannot stand that
he would have ever done. He
pulled some very manipulative
tactics to get what he wanted from
others and etc, but also probably
one of the best headmasters after
McGonagall. Anyways, that's
all I really hope I didn't piss
too many people off with this
!!!!

Also it's late at night and I'm bored if anything is spelled wrong please don't let me know.
