Jason slipping from Dick's hold felt like the events after were running in slow motion. So, when Edith got to Dick's side everything went back to its normal speed of time and while Jason fell and they couldn't catch him, lucky for everyone someone did. Jason survived the fall, all with the help of a boy in a black superman shirt who caught him midair.
While everyone in the tower wanted to thank the mystery boy, he was shot by someone in the crowd. While the boy didn't die, whatever the bullets were made of caused his health to spiral
Dick and Edith not talking really made things worse at the Tower since no one dared to ask what happened between the two. Edith wasn't per say ignoring Dick, but she wasn't seeking out an answer as to why he kissed her only to then put himself in danger. Dick on the other hand was ignoring everyone around him because seeing Jason almost die really messed with his head
The two ignoring each other ended when Edith drew the short straw in having to go find him, to no one's surprise boy wonder was in the training room with the wall slides open allowing him to see the Titans suits
"Dick?" Edith calls out but he doesn't look back at her instead keeps his hands on the towel around his neck as he faced the empty Robin tube "Grayson! You, okay?"
"Yeah," Dick turns to face the women a somber look on his face which made Edith know he was lying but accepted the answer
"Glad that makes one of us," Edith bitterly states crossing her arms as she still wore the outfit from before only having wiped away any muck that may have been on her from fighting Deathstroke, "the kid who saved Jason isn't doing so well"
Dick bundles up the towel in his hands giving him something to do other than look at Edith, "I thought you patched him up?"
"I did and yet with mine and Dawn's limited knowledge of being healthcare professionals there are complications," Edith bluntly tells the sweaty man before her as she kept her distance "You may wanna come take a look. That is if you're not too busy"
Edith starts walking out of the gallery making Dick follow after her to the infirmary in silence
The pale boy named Conner laid in the infirmary with only a blanket covering his torso as his chest had two small wires monitoring his vitals and he also had two bandages with a small red dot seeping through. Kory and Dawn stood by his bed not knowing what to do next
"Is he stable?" Dick asks as him and Edith enter the room but she doesn't answer him making Korey and Dawn glance at each other
Breaking the silence Dawn answers, "For the moment. Whatever they shot him with left something behind. Some sort of toxin."
