THE ROOM FELT UNEASY, AT LEAST HAZEL HAD AN ASNWER TO WHY. Gar, Rachel and Hazel sat in Rachel's room, the nuclear kids bound to their chairs with Hazel's thick vines. "Why are you and your weird family trying to kill me?" Rachel demanded.

"You should come with us," The boy said.

"Seriously," The girl nodded. "It's better for everyone."

"If not, we're all going to be in trouble," The boy spoke. They slowly looked at each other, terror hidden in their eyes, contrasting their stoic faces. "You don't wanna be in trouble."

"No, you do not," The girl agreed.

Hazel stood, the swelling in her head gone with the way of her hand. She walked in front of them sprouting a thorn. "What are you doing?" Gar asked, his back straightening. Hazel didn't answer him, instead, she dragged the sharp top along the girl's cheek. She didn't flinch, wince or pull away, her face stayed stoic. "Hazel?"

"I hate to be the bearer of bad news," Hazel started flexing her hand, retracting the thorn. "They're brainwashed. They are not gonna answer, are you?" Hazel looked down at them and their eyes darted away.

Rachel shook her head and crossed her arms. "I'm going to find Dick," Rachel announced before walking away through the broken door.

Hazel turned to face Gar. "You wanna go ask him about Batman, don't you?" Hazel questioned with a knowing smile.

"I'll be quick," Gar promised before standing and following after Rachel.

Hazel chewed on her lip glaring down at the two. "Where's Rachel?" Kory asked, stopping in front of the doorway.

"She and Gar are looking for Dick," Hazel explained. Kory nodded before turning away. "Hey! Kory!" Hazel called rushing to the door.

"Stay and watch them," Kory ordered. "They shouldn't do anything but, you never know." Kory nodded before rushing down the stairs.

Hazel huffed, "Real inspiring."

HAZEL PAUSED AS SHE LOOKED OVER THE TALL BULIDING BUT PUSHED OPEN THE GLASS DOOR NONE THE LESS. Kory lagged behind the kids as Hazel read through the directions Dick had sent. Hazel lead the group to a pristine hall, a large singular elevator door at the end of the door. "It's a diagnostic lock," Hazel assessed as she, Gar, Rachel and Kory stood in the pristine hall.
