HAZEL PICKED AT HER NAILS AS VALLI LOOKED AT THE PICTURES ON HER PHONE. They sat in the round room, and the guards ordered to leave the room. Valli set the phone down and Hazel took and uneasy breath. "I know I don't know everything about this world," Hazel started taking her phone back and looking at the photos of the black magic destroying the mountains. "But I know this is bad."

Valli sighed and rested his chin on his hands. "Vema is the centre of everything, it breaths and thrives off of life and reality itself. But everything needs an opposition, it keeps the universe stable." Valli sat back in his seat as Hazel watched him closely. He willed two orbs of lights to his hands, one gold like hers the other a crimson red. "There's a planet called Ravenera, and a man Mortis sits on the throne." Valli moved his hands, the red light burning black. "His plan and his powers draw on death and evil. When I created a power to see through Limbo and I gave it to Terran..." He paused for a moment as Hazel shifted in her seat, her eyes moving from his figure. "I thought I could fight against his power, but nothing lasts forever." He pushed the lights together and they smashed like a porcelain plate.

Hazel watched the lights fall to the table before fading. "Are you at war?" Hazel questioned and Valli nodded.

"We have been and always will be."

Hazel tapped her fingers against the table and sighed through her nose. "A met a boy a few days ago, he uses their power. His name is Riyka. I thought he was just trying to..." Hazel hesitated and hung her head. "I don't know." Valli stood and paced the room. Hazel inhaled through her nose and she nervously toyed with her phone. "I'm sorry. I didn't know. I should have told you about it."

Valli turned to her smiling softly. "You have nothing to apologise for, I kept the truth from you. And I do not blame you, Riyka's are skilled in temptation and deceit."

Hazel furrowed her eyebrows, "What do you mean?"

"Riyka isn't a person, they are a breed," Valli explained which only confused Hazel more. "They are made as weapons of war, they try and twist themselves to make a person of pure temptation. But they can only twist themself so much." Valli sat back down in the golden chair and sighed. "I hate to ask this of you, you are barely an adult but I need your help to win this war."

Hazel sighed and brought her arms up to squeeze her arms. "I have to save Earth, my friends," Hazel in a quiet voice. "Once I save them I can help you. But you need to tell me the truth, you can't expect to help if I don't know what's going on."

"I understand."

Hazel run her fingers across her palm, a burning sensation following her as she did. "My light is getting out of control," Hazel started. "When I first got here it burned but I used it in the tunnels, I had to kill crawlers. I couldn't... reel it back in." Valli turned his head away and Hazel scoffed. "You said you would tell me the truth."
